Our WHY
Back To Base is a Dutch events collective focused on creating high-energy experiences built around music in motion, connection, and community.
What started in 2019 has grown into a series of events and concepts where people come together for more than a night out. Every event has its own identity, while staying rooted in the same foundation: energy, connection, and unforgettable moments.
The name Back To Base originates from the idea of stepping back, becoming aware, and stripping everything down to what truly matters; feeling life, enjoying it, and being present in it. No noise, no status, no roles; but feeling, presence, and energy in its purest form.
It is not about escaping life, but about returning to what is real within it. A reset point where everything unnecessary falls away, and you reconnect with yourself, the moment, and the people around you.
Most importantly, it doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what you have. At our events, everyone is welcome to be part of the movement and return Back To Base.

BACK TO BASE FESTIVAL LEIDEN
This year marks a major milestone: our first sold-out festival in the heart of Leiden.
Together, we’re creating something special, a day filled with music, energy, and thousands of people coming together. And while this event hasn’t happened yet, it already marks the beginning of something bigger.
A new chapter starts here.
KINGSDAY
Kingsday has become one of the defining moments of our year. As part of Oranjeroesfestival, we take part in a city-wide celebration in the Hague, attracting people from all over the Netherlands.
Oranjeroes has grown into a Kingsday destination where thousands come together to celebrate the king’s birthday through music, energy, and shared experience.
Set in a park in the Hague, the space transforms into a full-day celebration where music moves through the grounds and people from across the country gather to experience kingsday at its fullest.
Intimate Series
This is where we started and we never plan to stop. Up to 500 people, maximum energy.
Alongside our larger productions, the intimate series offers a more stripped-back setting where the connection between crowd, music, and space takes center stage. Everything here revolves around intimacy and presence.
AT THE BEACH SERIES
Every year, we kick off the beach season at boomerang beach in Scheveningen. What began as a small beach gathering has grown into a yearly tradition, with multiple summer editions where music, sunsets, and atmosphere come together in a more intimate setting.
EINDHOVEN INDOOR
At the beginning and end of every year, we return to Eindhoven for one of our signature indoor productions. Immersive visuals, powerful sound, and an intense atmosphere come together to mark either the start or the finale of the season.
